We are seeking a reliable, detail focused, and highly organized individual to join our team as a Materials Associate. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Global Distribution and Logistics. 

Responsibilities:

·         Processing international and domestic shipments

·         Perform all required transactions required to receive and distribute material daily. Act as back-up for inventory related activity and transactions as required.

·         Maintain paper files of all records (packaging slips and related receiving documentation) for receipts and shipments.

·         Maintain Receiving and Shipping Logs as required.

·         Transact receiving/shipping information into the corporate ERP system real time

·         Partner with cross functional team members (including but not limited to purchasing and finance) to resolve discrepancies on a daily basis.

·         Maintain a neat and organized work area; Conduct weekly walk through of shipping/receiving area to confirm compliance to operating procedures.

·         Ensure compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices and all relevant FDA/ISO regulations including EH&S standards.

·         Performs other miscellaneous supply chain related duties as requested or assigned.

Skills and Experience:

·         2+ years’ experience in warehouse operations in the areas of Receiving and Shipping in a regulated industry

·         Experience with Domestic & International shipping using FEDEX & Freight Forwarders.

·         Experience managing cold chain product is preferred.

·         IATA/DOT certified preferred.

·         Excellent customer service and communication skills (oral and written) is a must.

·         Must have a strong attention to detail and be highly organized.

·         Experience with an ERP system (tier 1 or tier 2).

·         Experience and knowledge of lean manufacturing, warehouse operations and global transportation including trade compliance is preferred.

·         Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and generate high quality work under tight deadlines, with a proactive approach.

·         Experience in a fast-paced collaborative environment within a matrix organization

·         Maintain a positive and supportive attitude.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.

  • Identify, and inventory all material utilizing material handling equipment
  • Assist shipping in receiving raw materials
  • Operate forklift to move materials
  • Prepare machines or material for shipping
  • Assisting with loading/unloading trucks
  • Repackag material for safe handling in shipping
  • Operate any material handling equipment
  • Perform daily cycle count in raw material warehouse
  • Maintain and operate material handling equipment
  • Learn all material handler functions
  • Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment
  • Picking raw materials and keeping the raw material warehouse
